Nick is a London based corporate finance adviser to small-cap companies, with over 25 years experience in financial markets. He is currently Director, Corporate Finance at Allenby Capital, a role he has held since 2011, and is a co-founder of the Society. Nick specialises in finding innovative solutions to small cap corporate finance problems based on wide experience and a talent for identifying alternative approaches to problems.
Nick began his career with Midland Bank (now HSBC) in 1987, gaining experience in banking, trustee activities, investment research and portfolio management over a ten year period. Subsequently he worked in stockbroking and telecommunications before focusing on corporate finance in 2001. Since then he has advised a wide variety of companies on numerous transactions, including capital raisings, IPOs, reverse takeovers, acquisitions and restructurings. He has advised, consulted and worked alongside businesses in various stages of development from start-ups through to listed companies in a number of different countries and industries.
Nick is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager. In addition, he holds professional qualifications from the CFA Society of the UK, Chartered Insurance Institute and Institute of Financial Services. Nick’s outside interests are history, politics and current affairs.
